Waldorf, MD- The La Plata Volunteer Fire Department responded to Sheffield Court on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 12:39 p.m. for a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival, the sixty-one firefighters discovered a two-story single-family home ablaze.
The homeowner was alerted to the fire by the activation of the smoke alarms. She observed smoke coming from the laundry room area. The Office of the State Fire Marshal estimates the damage to be $600,000.00. No injuries were reported.
