NEW ORLEANS, La. – Junior thrower Ethan Carpenter (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) picked up U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association Indoor Track & Field All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors in the weight throw on Tuesday afternoon.

In order to earn All-Region distinction, an individual must finish in the Top 5 of their respective event. Carpenter came in fifth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the weight throw with his school record-setting distance of 15.20m set twice this season – first at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason University on January 29 and again at the Frank Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus College on February 5.
