In an impressive feat of skill and sportsmanship, senior defenseman Ethan Little from Bel Air, Maryland, has been named to the 2024 Division III Blatant Lacrosse Team of the Week. The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced this accolade on Wednesday, marking Little’s third time receiving this honor. Previous selections for Little were recorded on March 8, 2022, and February 14, 2023, showcasing his consistent performance and contribution to his team.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s lacrosse team, buoyed by Little’s exceptional play, recently celebrated a successful week, securing two victories. These wins included a dominant 20-4 match against Juniata College on February 27 and a nail-biting 10-9 overtime triumph over Hampden-Sydney College on March 2. Little’s contribution was pivotal in extending the team’s winning streak, particularly highlighted in their latest victory against Bridgewater College on March 16. In this non-conference road game, Little showcased his versatility and skill, achieving career highs with seven ground balls, four caused turnovers, a goal, and two assists.
Standing at 6 feet tall, Little’s defensive prowess and offensive contributions were instrumental in the Seahawks’ 16-5 victory over Bridgewater College. His ability to perform at both ends of the field has not only earned him individual accolades but has also significantly contributed to the success of the St. Mary’s College men’s lacrosse team.
As the Seahawks prepare for their upcoming game against Messiah University at the Jamie L. Roberts Stadium on Saturday, March 23, Little’s recognition serves as a testament to his hard work and dedication. With a current season record of 5-2, St. Mary’s College looks forward to continuing their success, bolstered by Little’s outstanding performances.
