In a groundbreaking partnership destined to sweeten mornings across the United States, McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme have announced a national expansion that will see Krispy Kreme doughnuts served in McDonald’s restaurants. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for doughnut enthusiasts, especially in the Tri-State area, as they will witness the initial phase of this rollout, with nationwide availability anticipated by the end of 2026.
Customers will be treated to three of Krispy Kreme’s most beloved doughnuts, delivered fresh daily. These include the classic Original Glazed Doughnut, the Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnut, and the decadent Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled Doughnut. Available from breakfast throughout the day, these treats can be purchased individually or in boxes of six, ensuring that customers can easily indulge their sweet cravings.
This expansion follows a highly successful test in 160 McDonald’s locations in Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky, where the demand and enthusiasm for Krispy Kreme doughnuts were notably high. These pilot locations will continue to offer Krispy Kreme doughnuts as the nationwide rollout progresses.
Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA’s Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing its potential to enhance McDonald’s breakfast offerings and create new opportunities throughout the day. “Our fans’ love for Krispy Kreme runs deep, and we can’t wait to make it even easier for them to satisfy their sweet tooth at McDonald’s restaurants across the country,” Hassan said.
Echoing this sentiment, Krispy Kreme President and CEO Josh Charlesworth highlighted the partnership’s ability to meet consumer demand on a new level. “The top request we receive from consumers every day is ‘Please bring Krispy Kreme to my town.’ Partnering with McDonald’s on a national scale will provide our fans and doughnut lovers unprecedented daily access to fresh doughnuts and the joy that is Krispy Kreme,” Charlesworth stated.
