Leonardtown, MD — As summer approaches, the Leonardtown Summer Music Festival is set to launch with a lively Latin music performance by Trio Caliente. This anticipated event will be part of the On the Water’s Edge concert series at the Leonardtown Wharf. Scheduled for Saturday, April 20th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the concert promises an engaging evening filled with music and more.

The event, sponsored by Jimmy Hayden of RE-MAX 100 and Homes for Heroes, offers a blend of entertainment and local flavors. Attendees can indulge in a variety of foods from the Auxiliary of the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department and sip on award-winning wines from the Port of Leonardtown Winery. Additionally, the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department will serve beer, and the Frog Town Ice Cream Shop will provide sweet treats. The event also features yard games and activities, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Transportation to the concert is convenient and free, with shuttle rides provided by Patuxent Transportation, courtesy of the Commissioners of Leonardtown. These shuttles will run from Leonardtown Square to the Wharf from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Boaters can also take advantage of the town’s new slips and enjoy the concert directly from the water. Those attending by land are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for comfort.

The Leonardtown Summer Music Festival, running from May through October, offers a series of concerts and is a highlight of the town’s cultural calendar.
