PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter in Prince Frederick announced a temporary closure to the public on May 8 and 9 to focus on administrative duties as part of an ongoing animal control investigation. During this period, the shelter will not facilitate adoptions or accept owner-surrendered pets, though it will continue to operate for emergencies and the intake of stray animals.

While the shelter, located at 5055 Hallowing Point Road, will be closed for these two days, Animal Control officers will remain on duty to respond to urgent situations. Normal operations are expected to resume on Thursday, with officers available during regular hours.
