WALDORF, Md. – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident early Monday morning on Maryland Route 5, near Lakewood Place. Maryland State Police were alerted to the scene at approximately 5:46 a.m. following reports of a person lying in the median of the road.

Upon their arrival, troopers from the La Plata Barrack discovered the body of a male, identified as 54-year-old Terry Anthony Dorch of Waldorf, Maryland. Car parts located in close proximity to the body suggested a vehicular collision had occurred.
