MC Mortimer, a standout from Baltimore, Md., and a senior at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, has been selected for the 2024 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Senior All-Star South Team. The IWLCA made the announcement on Wednesday, May 29.
Mortimer will don the No. 12 jersey as she takes the field this Saturday, June 1, at 3 p.m. on Tierney Field at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. The game is open to the public with no admission fee. However, the Senior All-Star game will not be available via livestream.

The 5-foot-7 midfielder has been a pivotal player for the Seahawks, starting all 19 of the team’s contests this season. Under her contribution, the Seahawks clinched the United East Conference Women’s Lacrosse regular-season and tournament championships for the third consecutive year. Additionally, they progressed to the second round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship Tournament for the second time in three years.
During her final season, Mortimer demonstrated her prowess on the field, ranking fifth in the United East Conference with 21 assists, which was the third-highest on her team. She also ranked fourth on the Seahawks with a total of 40 points. Her season stats included 20 ground balls, 19 goals, 10 caused turnovers, and four draw controls.
Over her collegiate career, Mortimer has been a consistent performer, earning All-United East honors consecutively. She was named to the First Team in 2023 and the Second Team in 2024.
As a midfielder, Mortimer’s four-year career statistics are impressive. She amassed 133 points, scoring 72 goals and assisting 61 times. Additionally, she contributed significantly to her team’s defense and transition game with 83 loose ball pickups, 62 draw controls, and 49 caused turnovers. A notable milestone in her career was achieving her 100th career point during a game against Trinity Washington University on February 24, where she posted a three-point performance.
Mortimer’s selection to the Senior All-Star Team is a testament to her skill, dedication, and impact on the field throughout her college career. As she prepares to take the field on Saturday, she will be celebrated among the top senior lacrosse players in Division III, marking a fitting conclusion to a remarkable collegiate journey.
