DAHLGREN, Va. – The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has announced that it will conduct range testing on June 3-4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., potentially causing significant noise in the communities surrounding the Naval Support Facility Dahlgren.

During this period, access to the Potomac River Middle Danger Zone, as detailed in 33 CFR 334.230, will be restricted. This measure is essential to ensure safety while testing is underway.

Residents in the surrounding areas should be prepared for loud noises and are advised to take necessary precautions. The NSWCDD has emphasized the importance of adhering to these restrictions for public safety.

Range schedules are subject to frequent changes. To stay updated on range operations and test schedules, community members can call the NSWCDD Range and Weapons Testing toll-free hotline at (877) 845-5656. Additionally, information is available on the Potomac River Test Range website.

For any questions or more information, individuals can contact the NSWCDD Public Affairs Office via email at NSWCD_103.fct@navy.mil or by phone at (540) 653-8154.
