LEONARDTOWN, MD – The Board of Education has confirmed new administrative appointments within the local school district, with Superintendent Dr. J. Scott Smith making the announcement at the June 12, 2024, meeting.
Greenview Knolls Elementary School
Ms. Candice Berthiaume has been named the new principal of Greenview Knolls Elementary School. Holding both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Towson University, Ms. Berthiaume steps into the role with a strong educational background and significant experience within the school. She has been serving as the Acting Principal and will officially assume her new responsibilities on July 1, 2024.
Lexington Park Elementary School
Ms. Allison Mashburn has been appointed as the Assistant Principal at Lexington Park Elementary School. With degrees from West Virginia University, Ms. Mashburn brings expertise in special education to her new role. She is currently an Inclusion Instructional Resource Teacher in the Department of Special Education and will start her new position on July 29, 2024.
