St. Mary’s overwhelming offensive pressure in the first half saw them taking 13 shots, seven aimed accurately, securing a narrow lead by halftime. The defense was equally competent, limiting Hood to a mere two shots in the first half, with Seahawks goalkeeper Kylie Wells making a crucial save.

The second half mirrored the first in terms of St. Mary’s control. Despite an impressive 10 shots on goal in the latter 45 minutes, they were unable to widen the gap, with the scoreline remaining tight until the final whistle. The Seahawks’ defense stood firm, allowing only three attempts by Hood, none of which were on target, effectively quashing any hopes of a comeback from the Blazers.

Gracie Tourangeau, notable for her decisive early goal, marked her second of the season. Goalkeeper Kylie Wells earned her first clean sheet of the year, a testament to her skills and the defensive solidity of her team. Contributors to the offensive effort included Gracie Duch and Megan Rusk, each with three shots on target, showcasing the team’s aggressive approach.

Looking ahead, the Seahawks are set to face McDaniel on September 7 at 4:00 PM in Salisbury, Maryland, where they aim to extend their winning streak.
