Authorities in Southern Maryland are intensifying their search for Kevin Lee Bonnie, 21, who is wanted for making serious threats against children and law enforcement officers on social media. On Thursday, Bonnie posted multiple threats detailing harmful intentions towards police and children at bus stops, prompting a swift response from local sheriff’s offices.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Charles County Sheriff’s Office, and Calvert County Sheriff’s Office are collaboratively handling the investigation. The agencies have highlighted the urgency of locating Bonnie, who has had recent run-ins with law enforcement in Charles and St. Mary’s counties. His whereabouts currently remain unknown.


Kevin Lee Bonnie is described as a white male, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall, with brown hair and blue eyes, and weighing about 140 pounds. Authorities believe he may be driving a dark 2020 Chevy Sonic, bearing the Maryland license plate 4GG3607. Community members are strongly advised to avoid approaching him and to call 911 immediately if he is seen.
