The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team dropped their second straight game Wednesday night. The Seahawks finished the game at Johns Hopkins University with a 2-0 loss, following a first-half thriller that went off without a hitch.
The game opened with St. Mary’s College firing four shots in the first half, all of which were on target. Hopkins goalkeeper Loucas Costeas was up to the challenge in saving all four attempts. JHU fired nine first-half shots, with sophomore Jordon Eckman turning away five to preserve a halftime draw.

It took less than seven minutes into the second half for the Blue Jays to break through, as Francis Meyer put one past Eckman for a 1-0 lead at 51:31. Johns Hopkins continued to pepper the Seahawk defense with shots, doubling its lead in the 78th minute when Aidan Dunphy found Jason Pan.
St. Mary’s College earned a 4-3 edge in corner kicks, while Hopkins ended the game with a 17-8 shot advantage.
St. Mary’s College will now face a tough road at Bridgewater in Virginia, as they look to bounce back from a two-year run of in and out of the playoffs.
