Bob Hall Beverage Company, a 91-year-old, family-owned beer and beverage distributor in Maryland, marked a significant milestone in its history with a week-long celebration, bringing together its local community, employees, and customers. The company, which serves Calvert, Charles, and Prince George Counties, highlighted its success over the past year, particularly its recognition as the 2023 National Champion among Anheuser-Busch’s wholesalers.

The celebration included a significant contribution to the Folds of Honor foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the families of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders. Bob Hall Beverage donated $20,000, an amount matched by Budweiser, resulting in a total of $40,000 for Folds of Honor.

Community-Centered Festivities

Bob Hall Beverage Company was named an Ambassador of Excellence for 2023 by Anheuser-Busch, a prestigious designation awarded to only 5% of the company’s wholesalers nationwide. In addition, the company earned the top honor of being the National Champion, a recognition that signifies it as the number one wholesaler in the U.S.

The festivities celebrating these achievements were held in Southern Maryland, the company’s base of operations. “Southern Maryland is the heart and soul of our company, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate this outstanding achievement than alongside the Budweiser Clydesdales right here in our hometown,” said Dan Hoose, General Manager of Bob Hall Beverage. He emphasized the important role that the company’s employees, local community, and customers played in their success.

“Our success would not be possible without the stellar team we have built and the unwavering support of our local community, customers, and partners,” Hoose added. The parades and events, he explained, were also in honor of local military families and first responders, who “keep us free and safe every day of the year.”

Folds of Honor Partnership

This year’s celebration coincided with Anheuser-Busch and its partners, including Bob Hall Beverage, marking 14 years of collaboration with the Folds of Honor foundation. Since its founding, Folds of Honor has provided over 5,000 academic scholarships, made possible by a total of $28 million in donations from Anheuser-Busch, its brands, and wholesaler partners like Bob Hall Beverage.

The Budweiser Clydesdales, a beloved symbol of Anheuser-Busch, made their way to Southern Maryland as part of a nationwide tour commemorating this partnership. The Clydesdales participated in parades in Solomons Island and National Harbor, further adding to the celebration’s excitement. The festivities also included a VIP event for retailers and a grand celebration to honor Bob Hall’s achievements and its ongoing commitment to the community.

During the event, the donation of $20,000 by Bob Hall Beverage to Folds of Honor was matched by Budweiser, bringing the total contribution to $40,000. These funds will help support the educational needs of military families in need.

Honoring Heroes

In addition to the celebrations, Bob Hall Beverage and Anheuser-Busch took the opportunity to honor past Folds of Honor scholarship recipients. Among them was Michael Lammey, a United States Navy Petty Officer who served over nine years, including during Operation Enduring Freedom. Lammey’s service, along with the sacrifices made by other military families, was recognized during the events.

Rocky Sickmann, a U.S. military veteran and member of Folds of Honor, joined the event to highlight the continued mission of the organization. “Thanks to the unwavering support from Anheuser-Busch, its brands, and its wholesaler partners like Bob Hall, they have donated $28 million, which has funded over 5,000 scholarships for Folds of Honor recipients,” Sickmann said. He expressed gratitude for the partnership over the last 14 years and looked forward to future collaborations to continue supporting military families.

A Legacy of Excellence

Bob Hall Beverage Company’s recognition as Anheuser-Busch’s National Champion and Ambassador of Excellence is a testament to its continued commitment to excellence in sales, service, customer support, and community engagement. The company’s leadership attributes its success to its hardworking team and its strong ties to the Maryland community.

As the company reflects on nearly a century of operations, Bob Hall Beverage continues to prioritize its community-focused approach, ensuring that its achievements benefit the broader Southern Maryland area.
