A motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene of a collision involving a Ford Mustang on Old Washington Road in Waldorf early on Sunday, September 22. The crash occurred at approximately 12:11 a.m., according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a green 2003 Suzuki GSXR 600 motorcycle, traveling southbound, collided with the Mustang, which was also headed south. The driver of the motorcycle, described as an adult Hispanic male, was found deceased at the scene by patrol officers. He was reportedly wearing a T-shirt and shorts at the time of the crash.

The identity of the motorcyclist remains unknown, as the motorcycle was not registered. Investigators from the Traffic Operations Unit are actively pursuing various methods to identify the victim and have urged the public to come forward with any information that may assist in their efforts.

The driver of the Ford Mustang involved in the collision remained on the scene and is cooperating with the authorities. There is no indication at this time of any charges being filed against the driver of the Mustang.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office has asked anyone with information regarding the identity of the motorcyclist or the circumstances of the collision to contact the Traffic Operations Unit at 301-609-3251. PFC D. Walker is leading the investigation.
