Residents of Calvert County are invited to attend a public input meeting hosted by the Calvert County Department of Parks & Recreation (CCPR) to discuss the Chesapeake Hills Golf Course. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Chesapeake Hills Golf Course Clubhouse banquet room, located at 11352 HG Trueman Road in Lusby, Maryland.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide local residents, golfers, and community members with a platform to engage directly with CCPR leadership and staff. It will offer an opportunity to provide feedback and learn more about the department’s ongoing and future plans for the Chesapeake Hills Golf Course. Those attending will receive updates on the current conditions of the golf course, recent improvements, and projects that are in the pipeline.

The agenda for the meeting includes discussions on the overall operations of the golf course, its amenities, and how the course integrates with the surrounding community. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions, express concerns, and share their thoughts on the direction of the golf course, including potential improvements in customer experience and facilities.

The CCPR has made efforts in recent years to enhance the golf course, aiming to provide a premier golfing experience for both seasoned players and newcomers alike. At the upcoming meeting, the department plans to share insights on these enhancements and the additional projects they aim to implement in the coming months.

This event is open to all residents and community members who have an interest in the future of Chesapeake Hills Golf Course. Those who regularly visit the golf course or have suggestions on improving its operations are particularly encouraged to attend and voice their thoughts. No RSVP is required to participate in the event, and all interested parties are welcome.

The Chesapeake Hills Golf Course, a staple of the Lusby community, has been a popular recreational facility for many years. It offers an 18-hole layout that attracts both local golfers and visitors from surrounding areas. With this meeting, CCPR is aiming to strengthen its engagement with the community, encouraging an open dialogue about how the course can evolve to meet the needs of the people who use it most.

For anyone unable to attend the meeting but who wishes to provide input, CCPR encourages feedback to be submitted through their official channels. This meeting is part of the county’s broader efforts to ensure that its recreational facilities, including parks and sports venues, are aligned with the interests and expectations of local residents.
