Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, arrested two individuals in Prince Frederick, MD, on Friday in connection with a shooting in Lexington Park. The suspects, identified as Mark Albert Fenwick, Jr., 32, of Park Hall, MD, and Jarrell Raheim Johnson, 36, of Prince Frederick, MD, are now in custody, while a third suspect remains at large.
On October 30, deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 22000 block of Valley Estates Drive, Lexington Park, arriving at approximately 8:15 p.m. They found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Immediate first aid was administered, and the victim was later airlifted to a nearby regional hospital for further medical attention. Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Criminal Investigations Division subsequently assumed control of the case, which initial findings indicate to be an isolated incident without a broader public threat.

Fenwick and Johnson were apprehended in Prince Frederick early Friday. Fenwick faces nine charges, including attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. Johnson, meanwhile, is charged as an accessory after the fact. Following their arrests, the suspects were taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, MD.
A third individual, Charles Henry Thompson, 30, of Lexington Park, is still being sought in connection with the case. Thompson is described as a 6-foot-tall Black male weighing around 162 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
