Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $160,524,322 in revenue from slot machines and table games during October 2024, marking an increase of $712,557 (0.4%) compared to October 2023.
State Contributions and Education Trust Fund Milestone
Casino gaming contributions to the state in October 2024 totaled $68,562,306, an increase of $1,307,235 (1.9%) from October 2023. Contributions to the Education Trust Fund (ETF) were $49,460,899, up $964,819 (2.0%) compared to the same month last year. With this contribution, the casinos’ cumulative contributions to the ETF have now surpassed $6 billion, totaling more than $6.005 billion since Maryland’s first casino opened in September 2010.
Support for Local Communities and Industries
In addition to the ETF, casino gaming revenues support the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are located, Maryland’s horse racing industry, and small, minority-, and women-owned businesses.
