On November 19, a student at Henry E. Lackey High School was charged with disrupting school activities after allegedly threatening to bring a weapon to harm another student. The incident occurred during school hours when the student was reportedly heard making the threat in the hallways.

The school’s resource officer promptly identified the student and contacted the student’s guardian. A subsequent home visit was conducted to address the situation. The student was charged on a juvenile offense report with disruption of school activities and faces disciplinary action in accordance with the Charles County Public Schools Code of Conduct.
