La Plata, MD- One person from Waldorf died due to a fatal vehicle collision on December 4, 2024, along Rosewick Road and Rosewick Crossing Place in La Plata, Maryland. The police first received word of a serious accident at about 4:07 pm.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2016 Toyota Corolla operated by 60-year-old Anton Bronson of Waldorf, MD, was traveling east on Rosewick Road when it veered over the concrete median. The Corolla struck a westbound 2020 Ford F-250 utility truck, significantly damaging the utility truck.
Tragically, Bronson was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford F-250 had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The La Plata Police Department Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating with the assistance of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Operations Unit. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
