Girl Scouts of the USA officially launched the 2025 Girl Scout Cookie® season today, ushering in another year of iconic cookie sales and entrepreneurship. Across the country, Girl Scouts are gearing up to sell cookies and develop essential business skills, all while offering communities a taste of the classic cookies they love. The season also marks a bittersweet farewell to two fan-favorite flavors, Girl Scout S’mores® and Toast-Yay!®, which will be retired at the close of this year’s sales.
The 2025 lineup includes perennial favorites such as Thin Mints®, Samoas®/Caramel deLites®, and Peanut Butter Patties®/Tagalongs®. Fans of S’mores® and Toast-Yay!® are encouraged to stock up before supplies run out. Availability of these soon-to-be-retired cookies will vary by region, so customers are urged to act quickly.
Girl Scout Cookie season is about more than just delicious treats. The Girl Scout Cookie Program, recognized as the largest entrepreneurial initiative for girls globally, equips participants with critical skills like goal setting, money management, and decision-making. Through sales, girls gain confidence, character, and leadership abilities while earning badges such as Cookie Business and Entrepreneur.
Wendy Lou, Chief Revenue Officer of GSUSA, highlighted the program’s deeper impact, stating, “Girl Scout Cookie season is about so much more than selling the iconic cookies people know and love. The funds girls earn throughout the season directly power girls’ journeys in leadership, entrepreneurship, and community building. The sweet success of each sale is a testament to how much girls can change the world when they put their minds to it.”
All proceeds from cookie sales stay within local communities, directly benefiting councils and troops. The funds enable Girl Scouts to participate in activities like camps, travel opportunities, and service projects. Every purchase fuels year-round programs that inspire girls to lead and achieve.
Customers can support Girl Scouts by purchasing cookies directly from a Girl Scout or visiting the Girl Scout Cookie Finder at www.girlscoutcookies.org. Starting February 21, customers can also order cookies online for direct shipping. Texting COOKIES to 59618 provides updates on cookie sales and additional Girl Scout news.
