The Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 86-year-old Richard Wilson Jr., who has been reported missing from the Constitution Hills neighborhood off McDaniel Road in Waldorf, Maryland.

Mr. Wilson, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, was last seen at his home before 4:00 p.m. on January 25, 2025. Family members realized he was missing later that evening, prompting a call to CCSO at approximately 6:15 p.m.

Described as 5’6” tall and 150 pounds, Mr. Wilson may be wearing a tan winter coat, blue hat, and blue jeans. It is believed he may also have a cell phone, though he may not be able to operate it.

Authorities are concerned for Mr. Wilson’s well-being due to current weather conditions and the length of time he has been missing. While initial reports suggested he could still be in the Waldorf area, it is possible he may have traveled to nearby locations such as Fairfax County, Virginia, or Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Despite extensive search efforts, Mr. Wilson has not been located. The most recent information suggests he may have been in the Fort Washington area, but ongoing search operations have yet to yield results.

The CCSO urges anyone who believes they have seen Mr. Wilson to immediately call 911, contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-2222, or notify their local police agency.

Law enforcement and Mr. Wilson’s family remain deeply concerned and appreciate any assistance from the community in locating him.
