The Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission (SMADC), a division of the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland, is calling on farmers, producers, agricultural businesses, and stakeholders in the Southern Maryland area to participate in a short two-minute survey. This initiative is part of SMADC’s strategic planning process, designed to address challenges, foster growth, and ensure the long-term sustainability of the region’s agricultural community.
The survey is open to stakeholders in Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Prince George’s, and St. Mary’s Counties, as well as those from outside the area who work with SMADC on statewide programs.
Collaborating for Growth
SMADC has partnered with Carol Hamilton of Grace Social Sector Consulting, a professional strategic planner, to guide this effort. The planning process focuses on engaging stakeholders and creating a roadmap for SMADC’s programmatic and organizational development over the next three to five years.
Key Objectives of the Strategic Plan
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ensuring SMADC’s long-term success by involving the voices of its community.
- Strategic Development: Crafting an effective and forward-looking plan to guide SMADC’s efforts.
