The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has identified and charged a 17-year-old male from Temple Hills in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in late December. The suspect, who is being charged as an adult, is accused of killing 29-year-old Harvey Jones Jr., also of Temple Hills.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road on December 27, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, police discovered the victim outside, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Jones was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
