A physical altercation occurred at St. Charles High School on January 29 at 12:22 p.m. when a student approached two others in the hallway and began assaulting them, leading to a fight.
A staff member attempted to intervene but was inadvertently struck during the altercation, causing them to fall. Two students sustained minor injuries and were treated by the school nurse. The staff member was transported to an urgent care facility for treatment.
Charges are pending against the student who initiated the fight. All students involved will also face disciplinary action in accordance with the Charles County Public Schools Code of Student Conduct.
The incident remains under investigation by PFC Watkins.
