LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a man injured early Wednesday morning in Lexington Park.

At approximately 1 a.m. on March 5, 2025, deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the 46000 block of Marshall Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. Deputies rendered emergency aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to a regional hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division have taken over the case and are actively pursuing leads. Authorities have not released any details about possible suspects or the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
