WALDORF, Md. — The Charles County Animal Care Center is showcasing Dionne, a 2-year-old, 36-pound dog ready to find her forever home. Named after singer Dionne Warwick, this shy but affectionate pup is looking for a family to share her love with, much like her namesake’s soulful performances. The shelter describes her as a “lovebug” who may take time to warm up but soon becomes a loyal companion, eager to claim her spot on the couch.

Dionne’s ideal home includes a backyard for energetic “zoomies,” a cozy dog bed for naps, and owners who will adore her superstar personality. “While Dionne Warwick may have asked, ‘Do You Know the Way to San Jose?’, our Dionne just wants to know the way to her forever home (preferably with snacks along the way),” the shelter’s posting reads. She promises to bring warmth and charm to the right household.
Located in Waldorf, the Charles County Animal Care Center is open for adoptions Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Interested adopters are encouraged to visit and meet Dionne, who’s ready to add a touch of soulful love to their lives.
