BALTIMORE — Maryland’s six casinos generated $172,105,632 in gaming revenue from slot machines and table games in March 2025, a decrease of $6,032,191 or 3.4% compared to March 2024’s $178,137,823, which ranked as the state’s fifth-best monthly total. The casinos contributed $74,555,922 to the state, down $1,917,913 or 2.5% from the previous year, with $53,754,932 allocated to the Education Trust Fund, a drop of $1,403,756 or 2.5%.
The revenue supports not only education but also local communities, the horse racing industry, and small, minority- and women-owned businesses. Maryland Lottery and Gaming oversees the state’s six privately owned casinos: MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County, Live! Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Baltimore City, Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County, Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County, and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County.
MGM National Harbor led with $70,391,321, operating 2,278 slot machines and 211 table games, though its revenue fell 6.2% or $4,677,128 from March 2024. Live! Casino & Hotel followed with $63,801,123 from 3,871 slots and 179 table games, down 1.5% or $959,958. Horseshoe Casino earned $17,230,893 with 1,360 slots and 115 table games, a slight 0.4% decline of $69,502.
Hollywood Casino posted $8,234,478 from 727 slots and 23 table games, off 2.6% or $217,934. Ocean Downs Casino was the only gainer, up 5.1% or $383,911 to $7,903,805 with 894 slots and 19 table games. Rocky Gap Casino reported $4,544,011 from 636 slots and 16 table games, down 9.8% or $491,580.
The dip follows a trend of fluctuating revenues in 2025, with February’s $155,150,298 also down 2.6% from the prior year, per Maryland Lottery and Gaming data.
