The shooting occurred on April 7, 2003, outside Wright’s townhouse on Hadley Drive in Waldorf, and the suspect or suspects remain unidentified.
On that day, 30-year-old Lamon Wright had just returned home after dropping her daughter off at daycare. As she approached her townhouse, where another child waited inside, she was fatally shot. The incident, reported shortly after her arrival, stunned the quiet residential area. Despite extensive efforts by investigators, the case has remained unsolved, leaving Wright’s family without closure.
