BRANDYWINE, Md., — A fatal collision involving an ATV and a pickup truck in Prince George’s County left one man dead and a woman seriously injured on Saturday evening. The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident, which occurred at the intersection of Dyson Road and Missouri Avenue in Brandywine.
At approximately 6:20 p.m., officers responded to reports of a crash and found the ATV rider and his passenger, an adult female, suffering from critical injuries. The rider was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after. The female passenger remains hospitalized in serious condition. The identity of the deceased will be released once his family is located and notified.
Preliminary findings indicate that the ATV collided with the side of a pickup truck and its attached trailer at the intersection. The driver and passengers of the pickup truck were unharmed. Police have not released details on the cause of the collision or whether charges are pending, as the investigation is ongoing.
