BOWIE, Md. — The Chesapeake Baysox defeated the Harrisburg Senators 6-5 in a 10-inning contest on June 15, 2025, at Prince George’s Stadium, concluding their six-game series in the Double-A Eastern League. Adam Retzbach’s walk-off single in the 10th inning secured the victory for the Baysox, who improved to 29-32, while the Senators fell to 31-32.

The game, attended by 3,885 fans, began at 1:08 p.m. under overcast skies with temperatures at 67 degrees. The Baysox jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, sparked by a balk that scored Enrique Bradfield Jr., followed by Retzbach’s two-run homer. Anthony Servideo’s solo home run in the second extended the lead to 4-2. The Senators responded with two unearned runs in the second, capitalizing on throwing errors by Baysox pitcher Eccel Correa and shortstop Alfredo Velásquez.

Silas Ardoin’s solo homer in the fifth pushed the Baysox lead to 5-2, but the Senators rallied in the eighth. Delino DeShields scored on a Joe Naranjo single, and Carlos De La Cruz crossed the plate on a Maxwell Romero Jr. forceout, tying the game at 5-5. Both teams failed to score in the ninth, forcing extra innings.

In the 10th, with Enrique Bradfield Jr. placed on second base per Minor League Baseball rules, a throwing error by Senators second baseman Kevin Made advanced runners. Retzbach’s single to left field off Junior Santos drove in Bradfield Jr., sealing the 6-5 win. Preston Johnson earned the win for the Baysox, pitching two scoreless innings, while Santos took the loss.

The Baysox recorded seven hits, with Retzbach leading the way, going 3-for-3 with three RBIs, including his sixth homer of the season. Ardoin and Servideo also homered. For the Senators, DeShields and Naranjo each had two hits, with Naranjo driving in one run. The Senators left eight runners on base, compared to the Baysox’s eight, and both teams struggled with runners in scoring position, with the Senators going 2-for-13 and the Baysox 2-for-7.

Baysox starter Eccel Correa pitched 5.1 innings, allowing two unearned runs on four hits. Senators starter Hyun-il Choi lasted four innings, surrendering four runs on four hits. The game featured three errors by the Baysox and one by the Senators, contributing to the tight contest.
