BALTIMORE — Jacob deGrom carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning, leading the Texas Rangers to a 7-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on June 25, 2025, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The Rangers, now 40-41 and fourth in the AL West, capitalized on home runs from Josh Jung and Jonah Heim, while the Orioles, falling to 34-46 and fifth in the AL East, managed just one hit. DeGrom earned the win, improving to 8-2 with a 2.08 ERA, while Brandon Young took the loss for Baltimore, dropping to 0-2 with a 7.11 ERA.
DeGrom, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, retired the first 18 batters before walking Jackson Holliday in the seventh. Ryan O’Hearn drew another walk later in the inning, and Colton Cowser broke up the no-hit bid with a leadoff single in the eighth. The Rangers went 3-for-8 with runners in scoring position, leaving four on base. The Orioles struggled, with Cowser’s single their only hit. They left three runners on base and went 0-for-1 with runners in scoring position.
Young allowed five hits and four runs over four innings, striking out two. Blewett gave up three runs in two innings, while Bryan Baker, Gregory Soto, and Andrew Kittredge held the Rangers scoreless in relief. A passed ball by catcher Chadwick Tromp and a failed challenge by the Rangers on a close play at first in the eighth were Baltimore’s only other notable moments.
