PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Amanda Dolina, a Chesapeake Beach resident and seasoned financial professional, was appointed Calvert County treasurer by Gov. Wes Moore, effective July 1, 2025. The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners recommended Dolina to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Nova Tracy-Soper in May 2025. Dolina will serve the remainder of the unexpired four-year term through the November 2026 general election.

Amanda Dolina brings over 15 years of public finance and community service experience to the role. As the founder of West Bridge Finance Solutions in Chesapeake Beach, she has established a reputation for expertise in accounting and financial consulting. Dolina is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a certified associate in project management (CAPM). She holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting with a minor in finance from Salisbury University, providing a strong academic foundation for her new responsibilities.

As Calvert County treasurer, Amanda Dolina is tasked with overseeing the collection and disbursement of county funds, ensuring financial accountability for residents. The Treasurer’s Office manages most county revenues, including property taxes, permit fees, landfill income, water and sewer payments, and various licenses. The office also conducts the annual Calvert County Tax Sale and validates deeds before they are recorded with the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

“I am honored to serve Calvert County in this capacity and look forward to continuing the work of responsible fiscal stewardship,” Dolina said. “Calvert County is more than just where I live; it’s where I’ve built my accounting firm, raised my family and found community. It is my privilege to humbly serve the people of Calvert County as their treasurer.”

Amanda Dolina’s appointment follows a transition period after Nova Tracy-Soper’s 30-year tenure as treasurer ended on May 30, 2025. Cynthia Harris served as interim treasurer from June 3 until Dolina’s appointment. The Calvert County Republican Central Committee unanimously recommended Dolina, citing her extensive experience in accounting processes, auditing, and financial reporting.

Beyond her professional credentials, Amanda Dolina is deeply engaged in community service. She serves on the board of the Republican Women Leaders of Calvert County and contributes to nonprofit financial education through publications and speaking engagements. Her local ties are evident in her commitment to Chesapeake Beach, where she has built her business and raised her family.

The treasurer position in Calvert County is elected, with the next election scheduled for November 2026, as mandated by Maryland law. Amanda Dolina’s appointment fills the remaining 16 months of the current term. The Treasurer’s Office has a history of modernization, with Tracy-Soper introducing online credit card payments and enhanced web access for tax information during her tenure.

Amanda Dolina’s appointment marks a continuation of experienced leadership in the Treasurer’s Office. Her background positions her to maintain the office’s reputation for efficiency and public trust, as Calvert County prepares for the 2026 election cycle.
