The Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400, the 107th NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway, headlines a thrilling tripleheader weekend on July 20. Known as the Monster Mile, the 1-mile concrete oval challenges drivers with its 24-degree banking in turns and 9-degree banking on straights. The 400-mile race, with stages ending at laps 120, 250, and 400, offers an $11,055,250 purse and airs on TNT at 2 p.m. ET.
The Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 marks Dover’s fifth consecutive year hosting one Cup race annually. Denny Hamlin, the 2024 winner, aims to repeat, having led at least 68 laps in each of the last eight Dover races. Only three of those races saw the top lap leader win, including Hamlin last year. Active drivers with Dover wins include Kyle Busch (3), Hamlin (2), Chase Elliott (2), Alex Bowman (1), Kyle Larson (1), and Brad Keselowski (1). Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing have dominated, winning 14 of the last 19 races. The Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 is also the fourth race in NASCAR’s inaugural In-Season Challenge, with Ty Dillon, John Hunter Nemechek, Ty Gibbs, and Tyler Reddick vying for a $1 million prize.
Saturday’s BetRivers 200, a 200-mile NASCAR Xfinity Series race, kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET on CW, with stages at laps 45, 90, and 200. The Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 weekend begins with the ARCA Menards Series General Tire 150 on Friday at 5 p.m. ET on FS1. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series takes a break, with its next race, the TSport 200, set for July 25 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Dover’s Xfinity history includes 79 races since 1982, with Joe Gibbs Racing holding a record 15 wins. Ryan Truex, winner of the last two Dover Xfinity races, drives for Sam Hunt Racing.
The Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 is critical for playoff contenders. Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, and Shane van Gisbergen have clinched postseason spots, while others like William Byron and Chase Elliott can secure theirs with a win. Joey Logano marks his 600th Cup start, becoming the youngest to reach this milestone, while Chris Buescher hits his 350th start and Daniel Suarez his 200th consecutive start. In the Xfinity Series, only five playoff spots remain, with Jeb and Harrison Burton just 16 points apart at the cutline.
Since 1969, Dover Motor Speedway has hosted NASCAR’s best on its concrete surface, laid in 1995. The Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 continues this legacy, with fan amenities like the Winner’s Circle, offering premium seating, an all-you-can-eat buffet, and track views. Kids 12 and under attend ARCA and Xfinity races free with a ticketed adult, and Cup tickets are $10.
