The match began with immediate pressure from St. Mary’s, as Gracie Tourangeau scored twice in the opening two minutes, assisted by Makayla Marvray and Keira O’Neail. Marvray added goals in the fourth and 11th minutes, the latter assisted by Maddison Spradlin. O’Neail scored in the sixth minute with an assist from Brooke Hall, followed by Felicia Fishburne’s goal in the 15th minute off a pass from Ashlyn Bonner. Julia Kleine netted one in the 22nd minute, Hayden Legg scored in the 27th assisted by Chekesa Sife, and Lillee Covington closed the first-half barrage in the 31st minute, also assisted by Sife. Legg added the final goal in the 78th minute, assisted by Daisy Pugh.

Ten different Seahawks contributed goals or assists in the offensive outburst. Tourangeau, Marvray, and Legg each scored twice, while O’Neail, Fishburne, Kleine, and Covington each tallied one. Assists came from Marvray, O’Neail, Hall, Spradlin, Bonner, Sife with two, and Pugh. St. Mary’s outshot Keystone 19-1, with 12 shots on goal to Keystone’s one. The Seahawks earned one corner kick and committed two fouls, while Keystone had four corners and one foul. No offsides were recorded for either team.

Defensively, goalkeepers Kyleigh Bland and Breanna Brown combined for the shutout, facing just one shot. This marked the third consecutive conference shutout for St. Mary’s, highlighting a unit that has allowed zero goals in league play through three matches.

St. Mary’s next faces Notre Dame of Maryland on October 7, 2025, in Baltimore, with kickoff at 4 p.m. in another United East matchup. Notre Dame entered the week with a 2-7-1 record overall and 1-2 in conference, following a 3-0 loss to Gallaudet on October 1.

This victory extended St. Mary’s unbeaten streak in conference play and built on recent form, including an 11-0 win over Valley Forge on September 27 and a 4-0 shutout of Penn State Brandywine on October 1. The Seahawks’ offensive depth was evident, with multiple players reaching season milestones: Tourangeau’s brace brought her to three goals, Marvray to five, O’Neail to four, and Legg to two. Fishburne and Covington each scored their first of the season, while Kleine reached two.

Keystone, in its second season under head coach Katie Parrotta, has struggled offensively, scoring just two goals through nine games while conceding 47. The Giants’ lone shot against St. Mary’s came in the second half, saved by Brown. Keystone’s previous conference games included losses to Penn College 8-0 on October 1 and to Cedar Crest 7-0 on September 27. The team’s roster features a mix of freshmen and upperclassmen, with goalkeeper Sarah Koster making two saves in the match.

As the season progresses, St. Mary’s schedule includes road tests against Gallaudet on October 11 and Cedar Crest on October 15, positioning the team for a strong finish. Keystone hosts Rosemont on October 8 and travels to Wilson on October 11, opportunities to reverse its fortunes.
