St. Mary’s outshot Notre Dame 42-5, with 21 shots on goal to the Gators’ three. The Seahawks forced 14 saves from Notre Dame keepers, while Kyleigh Bland and Breanna Brown combined for two saves. St. Mary’s also led 3-0 in corner kicks and committed 14 fouls to Notre Dame’s six.

This win marked the fourth straight conference victory for St. Mary’s, which has outscored opponents 32-1 in league play this season. The Seahawks began United East action with an 11-0 shutout of Valley Forge on September 27, followed by a 4-0 win over Penn State Brandywine on October 1, and a 10-0 rout of Keystone on October 4. In the Keystone game, Gracie Tourangeau and Marvray each scored three goals, highlighting the team’s depth.

Rusk, a sophomore midfielder from Eldersburg, Maryland, has six goals this season, tying her for the team lead. She played center attacking midfielder and centerback in high school at Century, where she helped win the 2022 2A Maryland state championship. Hall, a sophomore defender from Warrington, Pennsylvania, has two goals and leads the team in assists. She earned Seahawk Classic MVP honors earlier in the season after St. Mary’s won its tournament with a 2-0 start. Marvray, a junior forward, has six goals, including key strikes in recent conference wins.

Notre Dame, competing in its second full season in the United East after transitioning from the Colonial States Athletic Conference, has struggled defensively, allowing multiple goals in most losses. Busick, a junior midfielder, leads the Gators with three goals. The team secured its first conference win earlier against Penn State Brandywine but has dropped three straight league matches.

In the United East standings as of October 9, 2025, St. Mary’s sits atop the conference with 12 points from four wins, followed by teams like Penn State Harrisburg and Lancaster Bible. The conference, formed in 2021 from the merger of the North Eastern Athletic Conference and Colonial States Athletic Conference, includes nine women’s soccer programs emphasizing Division III competition in the mid-Atlantic region. St. Mary’s has a strong history in the league, finishing second in 2024 and advancing to the semifinals.

St. Mary’s next faces Lancaster Bible College on October 11, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Chargers, 3-5-2 overall and 2-1 in conference, present a test as the Seahawks aim for a fifth straight win. A victory could solidify St. Mary’s position heading into the postseason, where the top six teams qualify for the United East tournament in November.
