ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. — The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s basketball team delivered its most dominant performance of the young season Wednesday night, routing Gallaudet University 84–43 in the United East Conference lid-lifter at the Michael P. O’Brien Athletics & Recreation Center Arena.
St. Mary’s (3–2, 1–0 United East) never trailed, racing to a 40–23 halftime lead before pouring in 28 third-quarter points to put the game out of reach. The Seahawks forced a staggering 39 turnovers — converting them into 46 points — while scoring 22 fast-break points and controlling the glass 46–38.

Reserve Samantha Blaylock caught fire from beyond the arc, draining four three-pointers en route to a game-high 14 points in just 14 minutes. Tramarie Mobray stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, six assists and five steals on 6-of-8 shooting. Olivia Liszt contributed 11 points, and Keira Mason rounded out double-figure scorers with 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.
The St. Mary’s bench provided a decisive edge, outscoring Gallaudet’s reserves 41–12. In total, nine Seahawks scored as head coach Crystal Gibson’s squad shot 40 percent from the field and held the Bison to 34.9 percent shooting and only one made three-pointer.
Gallaudet (0–5, 0–1) was paced by Natalie Greene’s 21 points and eight rebounds.
The victory marked the first conference win for St. Mary’s since rejoining the United East in 2024–25 after several seasons in the Coastal Lacrosse Conference for women’s basketball scheduling purposes. The Seahawks entered the night averaging 68.5 points per game and ranked among the national leaders in steals.
St. Mary’s returns to action Saturday, Dec. 6, when it hosts Cedar Crest College in another United East matchup. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. inside the MPOARC Arena. The Falcons fell to 2–4 overall after dropping their conference opener Wednesday.
