Anne Arundel County police are investigating a suspicious death in Harwood after two adults—an adult female and an adult male—were found deceased with apparent gunshot wounds inside a residence on January 22, 2026.
Southern District officers responded around 1:40 p.m. to the 100 block of Harwood Road following a welfare check request from an individual concerned about not hearing from the residents for several days. Upon entry, officers discovered the woman deceased on the main level and the man deceased on the lower level, both showing gunshot wounds.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division’s Homicide Unit took over the scene, with evidence technicians processing the residence. The bodies were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy. A firearm was located at the scene, according to police updates reported in multiple outlets.
