WALDORF, Md. — A 43-year-old Waldorf man died after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash on St. Charles Parkway on January 26, 2026, according to information from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers responded at 6:28 p.m. to the area of Gallery Place following reports of a body in the roadway. Upon arrival, they located an adult male who had been struck by a vehicle. The driver failed to remain at the scene.
A preliminary investigation determined the pedestrian, Glen Jermain Baker, 43, of Waldorf, was crossing the southbound lanes of St. Charles Parkway near Gallery Place when the collision occurred. Baker was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The striking vehicle is described as a dark blue Buick Regal from the 1997-2005 model years, missing its passenger-side mirror. Members of the Traffic Operations Unit are leading the investigation.
