ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. — The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s basketball team delivered a commanding performance Tuesday night, defeating Penn State Berks 93-46 at the Michael P. O’Brien Athletics & Recreation Center Arena to stay perfect in United East Conference action.

The Seahawks surged to a 19-5 overall record and a flawless 12-0 mark in conference play with the victory on February 10, 2026. Penn State Berks fell to 3-21 overall and 2-10 in the league.

St. Mary’s asserted dominance right away, exploding for 37 points in the first quarter while limiting the Lions to nine. The halftime score stood at 51-15, and a 30-point third quarter ballooned the lead beyond 50 points en route to the lopsided home win.

Olivia Liszt paced the Seahawks with 20 points in only 20 minutes, hitting four three-pointers along with three assists and two steals. Saffiyah Gibson came off the bench to score 13 points in 14 minutes. Rayna Miller contributed 12 points and six steals, while Samantha Blaylock added 12 points on four three-pointers. Marley Saunders scored 10 points with three assists and five steals, and Keira Mason tallied 10 points, five rebounds, and two blocks.

The Seahawks displayed impressive depth, generating 45 points from their bench reserves. Defensive pressure proved decisive, as St. Mary’s forced turnovers that translated into 44 points off miscues and added 36 fast-break points. The team recorded 31 steals in the contest.

For Penn State Berks, Hailey Miller led with 16 points, Gabrielle Merritt scored 12, and Jalyn Hann posted 11 points with 10 rebounds.

This blowout victory extends the Seahawks’ strong run through United East competition, building on recent dominant showings in conference games. The program’s focus on aggressive defense and balanced scoring has kept them atop the standings.

St. Mary’s next faces a road test at Penn State Brandywine on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
