Charles County Sheriff’s Office detectives have charged three men in connection with a fatal shooting that killed one man and injured another in the parking lot of the Westlake Dash-In convenience store in Waldorf last fall.
On October 29, 2025, at 12:14 a.m., deputies responded to reports of gunfire at the store in the 2000 block of Smallwood Drive West. The investigation determined that unknown suspects fired multiple rounds in the parking lot, striking two individuals standing outside a vehicle near the gas pumps. One victim, 31-year-old Charles Arlando Hamilton of Waldorf, was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds. The second victim, an adult male, sustained gunshot injuries and was airlifted by Maryland State Police helicopter to a hospital for treatment; his condition was not disclosed in initial reports.

Initial reports from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office described the incident as a targeted attack stemming from a dispute involving a group gathered in the area. Neither victim was employed at the store. Deputies secured the scene, collected evidence including spent shell casings, and reviewed surveillance footage from the store and nearby properties. Detectives canvassed for witnesses and asked drivers with dash cams to check recordings from approximately 11:45 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The event was deemed isolated with no ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation continued over several months, involving search warrants and extensive detective work. On February 13, 2026, a Charles County Grand Jury indicted Ravon Davis, 29, of Clinton; Foday Ladie, 28, of Brandywine; and Terell Greene, 26, of Lexington Park. The men face charges including first-degree murder, attempted murder or aggravated assault, and other related offenses connected to the shooting.
Davis and Ladie are held at the Charles County Detention Center. Greene is detained at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center on an unrelated charge. Authorities have not released additional details on the specific roles of each suspect or the evidence leading to the indictments.
