CLINTON, Md. — The Clinton Post Office has earned the top ranking among 393 post offices in Maryland for customer satisfaction in fiscal-year-to-date 2026 based on Point of Sale Customer Surveys.
Since October 2025 the local team has collected responses from more than 306 customers through online questionnaires printed on receipts. The surveys measure satisfaction with retail staff efficiency, courtesy, knowledge, positive attitude and the overall experience. The Clinton office achieved a 98.04 percent overall satisfaction score, placing it first statewide.
The U.S. Postal Service conducts the POS surveys to gather direct feedback from retail transactions. Customers receive a link on their receipts to rate their visit. High participation and scores reflect consistent service quality at the Clinton location.

Postmaster Sheryl Graham said, “I am extremely proud of our team for setting the standard in customer experience across Maryland. It is always a great reflection when customers walk in happily and feel confident that the service they receive is exceptional. A commitment to professionalism and genuine care is what drives our POS-itive surveys and keeps our customers at the center of everything we do.”
Retail Associates Kiasha Byrd-Ford, Sherrae Somerville and Tammy Wilson, along with Supervisor Customer Services Kevin Foster, uphold the office motto: “Creating positive experiences, one customer at a time.”
Foster said, “We continue demonstrating the effectiveness of providing consistent positive customer experiences as the United States Postal Service celebrates 250 years of service to customers amidst a network modernization and transformation plan.”
Graham added, “As we continue to implement new equipment, improved services and efficiencies, a smile and friendly atmosphere remain the human interaction that keeps our customers coming back.”

Southern Maryland residents rely on local post offices for essential mail and shipping needs that support businesses, families and government services. High customer satisfaction at Clinton contributes to smoother daily transactions and reinforces trust in the postal system serving the region.
The achievement mirrors similar successes at other Maryland offices in prior periods but sets a new benchmark for the current fiscal year. Officials credit the result to deliberate efforts encouraging survey participation while delivering courteous and efficient service.
Community members can visit the Clinton Post Office to experience the service firsthand or provide feedback through the ongoing POS survey process. The recognition underscores the value of consistent human interaction even as technology and equipment upgrades continue across the Postal Service.
