Calvert County athletes returned home as world champions after Cheer Extreme Allstars Calvert’s Black Ice team claimed first place in the Senior Co-ed Small Level 3 Division at the 2026 All Star World Championship in Orlando, Florida.
The victory occurred April 19 during the four-day elite competition that draws top-ranked teams from across the globe. Black Ice outperformed competitors to secure the 2026 world title in their division, earning gold medals, a championship ring and a placement banner.
Gym Owner and Coach Allyson Jankowski said, “We are incredibly proud of the hard work, commitment, and determination these athletes have shown all season. They pushed through every obstacle and truly earned this moment.”



The win highlights the third-season program’s growth in Owings, Maryland. Black Ice’s success followed months of intensive training and reflects the athletes’ resilience amid challenges.
Two additional CEA Calvert teams competed at the event. Sassy Katz placed 14th in the Youth Small Level 2 Division. Vengeance finished 27th in the Junior X-Small Level 2 Division. All squads represented Calvert County and surrounding Southern Maryland communities with strong performances.
The All Star World Championship forms the pinnacle of the Open Championship Series season. It unites the highest-level athletes for international recognition and top honors.
CEA Calvert serves athletes from Calvert County and nearby areas through disciplined training and teamwork. The program is transitioning to POWER Calvert as it enters a new chapter while maintaining its commitment to excellence.
This achievement brings a world championship title directly to Southern Maryland and underscores the talent emerging from local gyms. Residents can celebrate the athletes’ dedication that elevated a regional program onto the global stage.
The victory arrives as POWER Calvert prepares to expand its footprint, continuing to build opportunities for young athletes in the region through high-level competitive cheer.
