LAUREL, Md. — Western District detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Jill Lane in Laurel on April 29, recovering multiple firearms and suspected controlled dangerous substances and leading to the arrest of seven men.

The April 29 operation resulted in the seizure of five handguns, including one reported as stolen and one without a serial number. Officers also recovered a large quantity of suspected cannabis along with smaller amounts of other suspected narcotics, digital scales and cash from the residence.

Items seized during the search included a Glock 30 .40 caliber handgun listed as stolen, a Glock 19 9mm handgun, a Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun, a Glock 23 .40 caliber handgun and a Polymer 80 9mm handgun with no serial number. Additional evidence taken into custody consisted of approximately 1,903.88 grams of suspected cannabis, approximately 6.86 grams of suspected fentanyl, four bottles of suspected promethazine, 11 suspected oxycodone pills, four digital scales with suspected CDS residue and $3,420 in U.S. currency.

The seven suspects, all residents of Laurel, were arrested and charged following the discovery of the items inside the residence. Those taken into custody are Kaiyer Antonyo Lewis Few, 22; Joshua Isaiah Cooper, 25; Isaiah Cecil Thornton, 26; Jaiden Nana Kofi Offei Omenako, 20; Najon Daniel Thompson, 24; Stanley Emanuel Kamara, 21; and Shaun Maurice Moorer Jr., 24.

The search warrant was carried out by detectives assigned to the Western District. Officials reported that the firearms and suspected controlled dangerous substances were located during the authorized search of the property. The presence of a stolen handgun and an unserialized handgun, along with the volume of suspected cannabis nearing two kilograms, formed part of the evidence collected at the scene.

The smaller quantities of suspected fentanyl, promethazine and oxycodone pills were also documented as part of the seizure. The four digital scales recovered showed signs of suspected CDS residue, while the cash amount was included among the items removed from the residence for further investigation.

All seven men arrested in the case are between the ages of 20 and 26 and listed as Laurel residents. Their arrests followed the completion of the search warrant execution on April 29. The case is identified as 26-713029.
