LEONARDTOWN, Md. — St. Mary’s County Recreation & Parks will bring Disney’s Frozen: The Broadway Musical to Great Mills High School this summer as the 44th annual Summerstock production.
Eight performances are scheduled across two weekends: July 17-19 and July 24-26, 2026. Show times include Friday evenings at 7 p.m., Saturday matinees and evening shows at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m.
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, the stage production features all the beloved songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, along with new music written exclusively for Broadway. The story centers on themes of sisterhood, acceptance, and the true meaning of love, with elements of magic, humor, and a sweeping musical score.
Tickets go on sale online July 1 at www.stmaryscountymd.gov/Summerstock. General admission is $15 for individuals age 11 and older and $9 for children age 10 and under. A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase on-site at Great Mills High School one hour before each performance. All ticket sales are final.
Local businesses, organizations, and families can purchase ad space in the digital program guide, which will be accessible to all attendees. Ads are due by July 6 at noon and can be purchased through the St. Mary’s County Recreation & Parks online catalog.
Summerstock has long been a staple of summer entertainment in St. Mary’s County, offering high-quality theatrical productions performed by local talent. This year’s presentation of Frozen continues that tradition by bringing a popular Broadway musical to a local high school stage.
