The momentum is building for the 7th Annual Maxi Award-Winning Youth Shark Tank Kidpreneur Competition & Fun Festival, and community support is already helping to invest in this year’s young entrepreneurs.

Thanks to 2026 sponsors including The College of Southern Maryland, European Wax Center, Sweet Frog Waldorf, IXG Crafts, The University of Maryland Charles Regional Hospital, Shore United Bank and Charles County Economic Development, organizers have already raised $2,375 for each first-place winner.

To the sponsors, thank you for believing in the next generation of business leaders. Your investment is helping young entrepreneurs gain confidence, develop real-world business skills and receive the resources they need to continue building their dreams.

The goal is to award $5,000 to each first-place winner. Every sponsorship moves the event closer to that target. The funds can help launch a business, purchase equipment, build inventory, expand marketing efforts or take the next step toward becoming tomorrow’s business leaders.

For those new to Youth Shark Tank, this is not just a competition. Young entrepreneurs ages 17 and under spend the day operating their own businesses in an outdoor marketplace, selling products and services to the community while gaining invaluable experience. Participants also have the opportunity to pitch their businesses before a panel of local business owners, community leaders and elected officials for cash prizes and recognition.

What makes the event special is that it is powered by youth. In addition to the Kidpreneurs, young professionals are hired to help produce the festival, including the youth DJ, photographer, videographer and other youth-operated services. Every aspect is designed to inspire, empower and showcase what young people can accomplish when given an opportunity.

The event also recognizes the businesses and organizations that make it possible. Sponsors are featured throughout the marketing campaign, on event materials, across social media and in front of hundreds of attendees who come out to support these remarkable young entrepreneurs.

If your organization believes in investing in the future of entrepreneurship, consider becoming a sponsor. Together, the community can help turn great ideas into thriving businesses while showing these young entrepreneurs that their community believes in them.

Organizers are also assembling this year’s judging panel. Those interested in serving as a judge are encouraged to reply and join the event.

Whether sponsoring, judging or simply attending, save the date for Saturday, August 15, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Shops at Waldorf to celebrate the next generation of entrepreneurs.
