UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 23-year-old Brandywine man on Monday afternoon.
On July 6, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the 11900 block of Croom Road in the unincorporated section of Upper Marlboro for a collision involving two vehicles. Juan Hawkins of Brandywine was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to a hospital with severe but non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigation indicates both vehicles collided head-on while traveling on Croom Road. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
