ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. — St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey head coach Allyson Osborne announced the hiring of Jenna Angstadt as the program’s new full-time assistant coach on Monday, July 13. Angstadt, who started her duties on July 8, will also serve as an assistant athletic communications director.

“I am very excited to welcome Jenna to our Seahawks family. She offers guidance and expertise that will propel the next generation of St. Mary’s field hockey,” Osborne said.

Angstadt comes to St. Mary’s after spending time in the private sector working in marketing and communications. Most recently, she contributed to content creation and newsletter development at Londonderry Village and VIN IQ.

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to join the St. Mary’s field hockey program and am excited to contribute to a culture of growth, hard work, and success,” Angstadt said. “Go Seahawks!”

A native of Newmanstown, Pennsylvania, Angstadt enjoyed a successful four-year playing career at NCAA Division III Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania. She appeared in 59 games with 21 starts, transitioning from defender early in her career to forward and midfielder as a senior. Angstadt recorded eight goals — including three game-winners — and five assists for 21 career points.

She earned MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week honors twice as a senior and was named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll on two occasions.

Beyond her on-field accomplishments, Angstadt gained valuable experience in sports media. She served as a staff writer and editor for her college’s student newspaper, La Vie Collegienne, and managed social media for the Lebanon Valley field hockey program. She also worked as a staff member at the Mid-Atlantic Field Hockey Camp for four summers spanning 2021 to 2025.

Angstadt graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Communication, and Marketing.

The addition of Angstadt strengthens both the coaching and communications sides of the Seahawks athletic department as the program looks to build on recent seasons under second-year head coach Osborne. St. Mary’s College of Maryland competes in the United East Conference at the NCAA Division III level.
