Calvert County property tax bills for the current tax year are now available online, even though printed copies have not yet gone out in the mail. The Treasurer’s Office says a notice will be posted on the county’s website and social media once mailed bills go out.
Property owners don’t need to wait for a paper bill to review or pay what they owe. Bills can be viewed and paid online at www.calvertcountymd.gov/RealPropertyTax, by calling the Treasurer’s Office at 410-535-1600, ext. 2630, or in person at 150 Main St. in Prince Frederick.
Calvert County’s tax year runs from July 1 to June 30. Property owners whose home is their principal residence can typically pay in two installments rather than all at once, with the first payment due by September 30. Residents who haven’t received a mailed bill by August 31 are encouraged to contact the Treasurer’s Office directly for a duplicate rather than wait.
Payments can be made online, by mail to P.O. Box 2909, Prince Frederick, MD 20678, in person Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 150 Main St., by phone through ACI Payments Inc. at 800-272-9829 (using jurisdiction code 3013), or through the secure drop box outside the County Administration Building. Credit and debit card payments carry a 3.57% convenience fee with a $5.18 minimum; e-check payments carry a flat $2.59 fee. The county notes it doesn’t retain any portion of those processing fees.
