Charles County fire investigators are looking into the cause of a vehicle fire that broke out Sunday morning in front of a home in Waldorf, though officials say the blaze appears to have been accidental.

The fire was reported around 11:20 a.m. at a residence in the 11700 block of Sunset Ridge Place, according to a notice of investigation. The homeowner discovered the fire, which started in the passenger compartment of an SUV parked outside the occupied home.
